Adults have an obligation to continue the conversation process that began with Baptism. Confirmation sealed those Baptismal promises – calling us to continue to learn about God and understand his Way. At Immaculate Heart of Mary you may choose from a variety of opportunities to fan the sparks of your knowledge into flames of personal spiritual growth.
Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Six weeks of Inquiry begin a process of spiritual growth. This is a formation series, designed to instruct the unbaptized or those baptized into another Christian tradition on their journey to becoming full members in the Catholic Church.
Adult Sacramental Preparation
Cathechetical preparation designed for the baptized Catholic who has not received First Eucharist or the sacrament of Confirmation.
Adult Scripture Study
A 6 – 8 week commitment to read and analyze Bible texts. The small-group study format provides an exceptional experience for study and guided interpretation.
Biblical Wisdom Literature is a video series taught by Father Joseph W. Koterski, who examines an array of topics and problems recurrent in the Bible and in today’s world: the suffering of the innocent, virtue and vice, marriage and friendship, decision making, life priorities, etc. Weekly sessions will familiarize you with Biblical instruction and moral teaching of the Catholic Church.
Also available: Lenten Faith Sharing Studies (a preparation for Easter through faith sharing); and Book Club for readers who love to meet monthly to dissect plots and characters.
