Areas of Responsibility
Each Home and School Leadership member is responsible for making sure a coordinator or chairperson(s) are identified for all of their responsibilities. * Indicates activity does not have a separate coordinator and the Home and School Leadership member may be responsible for coordinating the activity.
Home and School Committee Chairperson

Fund-Raising Coordinator
Oversee all events or activities that raise money as part of the Home and School Committee fundraising goal. All fundraising activities are actually chaired or coordinated by volunteers.
• Grand Celebration (chaired by several chairpersons)
• Bingo Bonanza (chaired by several chairpersons)
• Club's Choice Sales (coordinated by a Club's Choice Chairperson)
• Campbell’s Soup Labels (coordinated by the Campbell’s Coordinator)
• General Mills Box Tops (coordinated by the GM Box Tops Coordinator)
• Kemps Program (coordinated by the Kemps Program coordinator)
• Land-O-Lakes Program (coordinated by the Land-O-Lakes coordinator)
• McDonald’s Night (coordinated by the 2nd Grade Parents)
School Events Coordinator
Oversee all the large events that are not fund-raisers (often school spirit events). The School Events Coordinator is assisted by the School Events Team (formally the Spirit Committee) to coordinate any activities that do not have coordinators/chairs.
• Christmas Boutique (coordinated by several Boutique chairpersons)
• 7th/8th Grade Play (coordinated by the Music and Band teachers)

• Videographer (coordinated by the Videotaping Coordinator)
• Uniform exchange *
Information Sharing Coordinator
Oversee activities involved with new family programs, and information sharing between school and parents and parish. Information sharing is a supplementary program to assist the school administration as needed).
• IHMCS Newsletter (managed by the IHMCS Newsletter Team, published 2/year)
• IHMCS Parish Bulletin Monthly Article *
• The IHMCS Home and School Annual Tri-Fold Flyer *
• Good Shepherd’s Program (coordinated by the Good Shepherd’s Coordinator, the H&S member is responsible for overseeing this program in the summer following their year in office
Education Coordinator
Oversee all extra educational programs that benefit students and/or parents such as extra-curricular clubs, all school assemblies, etc.
• Chess Club (coordinated by the Chess Club coordinator)
• Mad Science*
School Day and Classroom Volunteers Coordinator
Oversee the school day volunteers and all the room parents making sure sufficient volunteers are available for each job and that volunteer names are shared with the appropriate persons. Responsible for the Room Parent Manual that describes Room Parent responsibilities as well as overseeing Grade Level Assignments. Some of the school day assignments are handed off to the school office after initial oversight.
