Find out more about the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. |

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish has sponsored and supported a Catholic school program of academic excellence and spiritual formation for over 50 years.
The first Catholic school was started with four Sisters from the Order of Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1952 with six grades and 97 students. For several years Mass was held in the basement of the school. Then in 1960, an addition to the school, a gymnasium, and the church were all completed. In 1995, IHMCS consolidated with St. John’s and St. Joseph’s parishes in Hopkins to become part of John Ireland School, maintaining a Pre-K through fourth grade program at IHMCS. In 2000, the existing Church was completed and several improvements were made to the education facilities. In 2003, the de-consolidation of John Ireland School gave the IHM Parish the opportunity to establish a Pre-K through eighth grade Catholic School program all in one location.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic School was re-established as a single Parish School in 2004. To build on the school’s tradition of excellence and to accommodate the growing demand for Catholic Education in this area, IHMCS renovated and expanded the existing school facility in 2004.
